Can you buy Iberia miles?
Yes. Iberia miles are transferred into the loyalty account you already hold, and you book directly with the airline afterwards. You don't open anything new, and you keep control of the reservation. We are not affiliated with any airline or loyalty program.
How fast are Avios (Iberia Club) miles delivered?
Most transfers land in your account within 24 hours. The exact window is shown on each program's page, and you'll get confirmation the moment the transfer completes.
What else are Avios miles called?
Iberia Club is Iberia's frequent flyer program, and its currency, Avios, is also called Iberia Avios points or Iberia Plus points. It's one currency whatever the name: buy or purchase Avios under any of them and it's the same order here, added to your account at the same rate.
Is Iberia Club the same as Iberia Plus?
Yes. Iberia Plus was renamed Club Iberia Plus in April 2025 and then Iberia Club. It is one programme with one balance, and anything written about Iberia Plus applies to it. This page's rate and delivery window refer to that same account.
Can I move Iberia Avios to British Airways?
Yes, 1:1. British Airways Club, Iberia Club, Aer Lingus AerClub, Vueling Club and Loganair Loyalty transfer between each other as often as you like, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Finnair Plus are transferable too. It is worth comparing our Iberia and British Airways rates before you buy, since the cheaper one funds the same redemption.
Do Iberia Avios expire?
After 36 months without earning or spending on the account. Any earn or redemption resets that, but an Avios transfer in or out does not count as activity under Iberia's terms — unlike at British Airways and Qatar, where it does. Keep an Iberia balance alive with an earn or a redemption, however small.
Why buy Iberia Avios rather than British Airways Avios?
Because of what you pay in cash at the end. The Avios are identical and move 1:1, but each programme sets its own surcharges, and Iberia's are consistently lower on transatlantic awards flown on Iberia's own aircraft. If you are booking from Madrid, that difference is usually larger than any difference in what the Avios cost.
