How fast are Avios (The British Airways Club) miles delivered?

What else are Avios miles called?
The British Airways Club is British Airways' frequent flyer program, and its currency, Avios, is also called Avios points, BA miles or British Airways points. It's one currency whatever the name: buy or purchase Avios under any of them and it's the same order here, added to your account at the same rate.
Does British Airways publish an award chart?
Yes, by distance, with peak and off-peak dates on BA's own flights. Club World business from London to New York is 88,000 Avios off-peak one way after the December 2025 changes, and short-haul starts around 4,000 Avios. Find your route's band, then price the shortfall with the calculator above.
Can I upgrade a British Airways flight with Avios?
Yes, one cabin up, subject to reward availability, and every fare qualifies except the cheapest economy classes (Q, O and G) and package fares. The classic move is Premium Economy to Club World, which any Premium Economy fare can make.
Do Avios expire?
Only after 36 months of total inactivity, and any single earn, spend, purchase or share resets the whole balance. Lapsed Avios can even be reinstated within about three months. In practice, an account that books anything stays alive indefinitely.
What happened to the Executive Club?
It was renamed: since April 2025 the programme is The British Airways Club. Your Avios, your membership number and the distance-based award pricing all carried over, and this page's rate and delivery window refer to that same account.
