It starts with a shortfall

Most people who find us have a redemption in mind and a balance that doesn't reach it. The award seat is sitting there; the account is 30,000 miles short. Buying that shortfall at a fair per-mile rate is usually far cheaper than paying the cash fare, and helping people close that gap quickly and easily is the entire reason this business exists.

What are miles, anyway?

Airline miles, frequent flyer miles, travel points: different names for the same thing, the currency of airline loyalty programs. Normally you earn them by flying or through credit card spend, then redeem them for award tickets, upgrades, and companion fares. One-way awards are a quietly great use: most programs price them at half a round trip, while one-way cash fares are often punishingly expensive. Programs will also let you spend miles on hotels, car hire, and retail, but honestly, that's usually the worst value in the program; flights, and premium-cabin flights especially, are where miles earn their keep.

Why buy miles at all?

Premium-cabin award tickets often price a mile far below what the seat costs in cash. When a business-class seat needs 70,000 miles and the cash fare runs to several thousand dollars, miles bought at a fixed per-mile rate can cut the price dramatically. Not always: every program page has a calculator that compares your real cash fare against buying the miles, and when cash wins, it tells you to pay cash.

How we work

We currently cover 22 loyalty programs across the major alliances. The process is deliberately simple, and deliberately conservative:

• You're quoted first. Price your amount on the site, send the request, and we confirm your exact rate and delivery window before anything is paid.
• Nothing is charged on this site. Payment happens after you approve the quote, never through the website.
• We never ask for your password. Miles are delivered into the loyalty account you already hold; your membership number and account name are all we need.
• Program not listed? Ask us and we'll check availability and price before you commit to anything.
